Balaklava, nuclear submarine secret base

Cold War era, Soviet Union strategic Navy forces.

During the Cold War it was one of the most sensitive sites of the USSR. Nuclear submarine base, located into the mountains, was used for “retaliation.” When, after the enemy use of nuclear weapons on earth could be no object, submarines had to fight back a nuclear attack and destroy the enemy’s country.
Now here is one of the museums of the “cold war.” Beautiful place, not far from Sevastopol.
As a guide we provide to our friends who are serving in the Soviet times, who can tell you about this remarkable professional facility.
There is also a cafe where you can eat, try the local cuisine, drink local wine and admire the whole district, and in a friendly atmosphere to chat with the veterans of the USSR Navy.
